About Me
My name is Kirsten Sachs, A Celebrant in Time and a registered civil celebrant based in Canberra but also able to conduct your ceremony at the location of your choosing in Australia (subject to conditions).
Firstly, I would like to congratulate you on your engagement and would like to invite you to a free of charge meet and greet, either at my home office in Kambah ACT or at a location of your choice in Canberra or its surrounds. This allows for you to get to know me, and see if I am the right celebrant for you.
I want to produce the ceremony to reflect you and your occasion, willing to guide you and still be respectful of your wishes. I want to make this a stress free, enjoyable and memorable day irrespective of the type and size of your wedding or its venue. I am committed to providing the best possible service to you and creating the ceremony you envisioned.
This will be accomplished by
· Providing you with comprehensive information to develop a ceremony personalised to meet your needs and expectations (including the legal requirements), in a comfortable location, either at my office, or a place of your choosing, preferably private, to maintain privacy and confidentiality.
· Ensuring safe storage, correct disposal and processing of all documents in a legal and timely manner ensuring, as required by Section 50 of the Marriage Act 1961, registration of documents is completed within 14 days of the event.
· Confirming all details of the day, arranging, if required, a rehearsal with all parties involved, checking the PA and cordless microphone is in correct and audible working order (if you would like one) and allowing for a timely arrival for the event.
· Ensure you receive the best of my services and allowing feedback from anyone present at the ceremony.

Invoicing and Refunds:
· At the first official meeting, a non-refundable deposit of 50% is required, this is also where we fill out the Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) which must be completed a minimum of 1 month and no more than 18 months prior to the booked day, with the balance and cancellation policy, as outlined on the invoice, to be paid no later than 14 days prior to the ceremony.
· All meetings (after the initial one) can be conducted (within Canberra) either at my office or a place convenient for you – however I can come to an allocated destination (outside of Canberra) at an extra cost.
· The cost includes all legal paperwork and secure storage, processing and costs, guidelines and samples to help you with developing your personalised ceremony, a PA system and cordless microphone and the ability to link your chosen music to (generally you have assigned a friend to manage this during the ceremony).
· Your professionally presented Marriage Certificate (presentation copy) along with a copy of the service and any readings.
· A comprehensive planning folder with information and documentation individualised for you.
· A rehearsal either at my home office in Kambah ACT, the venue or at a location of your choice (usually a week prior to the wedding), at this time the DONLIM, no limitation to the marriage is signed and all outstanding documents sighted and a one on one discussion with each partner.
· The ceremony.
· The submission of all documents to Births, Deaths and Marriages in the state of the ceremony.
· Notification once confirmation has been received of the registration.
I am qualified to provide ceremonial services for Weddings, Vow Renewals, Naming Ceremonies, Funerals and a Masters of Ceremonies.
